Home Heist in the jungle

If you’ve been lucky to see “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here” in the UK, you’ll know that having Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan, from Canada’s Home Heist, on the show would instantly make it one of the most memorable series for this show.

They are outspoken, crazy, fun, hilarious, and have great style.  It should be fun seeing them eat bugs, swim with alligators, and more importantly, sleep on hammocks without a tent or electricity.

It would be fun if they gave them a project to decorate the camp with items from the jungle.

Here’s where they’ll be living.  It definitely can use some colour other than brown and green.

For the love of wallpaper

Oh how I love me some wallpaper!

When we purchased our condo almost 2 years ago, the first thing we did when we moved in was install wallpaper that we purchased in the UK from Habitat.  It was a Matthew Williamson design and at the time, we loved it!  Unfortunately, we only loved it for a year and then we decided to rip it all down and paint the entire condo with Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace white.  I know… what a waste of wallpaper (and it was expensive) but I can’t help it.  I’m constantly changing the look of my place. I’ve always been like that.  I think the problem is I live in a small 535 sq ft condo and there’s not enough rooms for me to design with different looks so my only option is to change the rooms I have which are a bedroom, bathroom, and living/dining.

I still dream of the day that I can install wallpaper again so I’m constantly on the hunt for ones I like.  These ones are the ones that have caught my eye.

Hunting for Roly Poly’s

IMG_0711

My in-laws from the UK came for a visit a few weeks ago and in anticipation of their arrival, we setup a new bar in our apartment.  I picked up the Gluckstein ice bucket, shaker, and wine cooler at The Bay and of course our favourite booze from the LCBO.

All I’m missing is a tray and some really nice glassware.

Now if you don’t already know, I’m a HUGE Mad Men fan and one of the first things I noticed on the show were the Dorothy Thorpe Roly Poly glasses in Don Drapers office.  I’ve been hunting them down on Etsy and Ebay ever since.  I missed out on some but this hunt will never end!  In my search for these gorgeous glasses, I found some other beautiful alternatives.  Oh dear, I think I might turn into a glass collector.
